Two members of staff at an award-winning nursery are now fully qualified after completing their apprenticeships.

Little Ladybirds Day Nursery in Stockton has confirmed that Jess Willett and Caitlin Walker have both finished their two-year qualifications.

Jess, 19, from Stockton, undertook a Level 3 Early Years apprenticeship after joining the nursery in October of 2023.

She has been based in the Little Explorers room looking after toddlers.

Jess said: “I am absolutely delighted to have completed my apprenticeship. I have loved every stage of my journey so far and it is lovely that I can now say I am fully qualified.”

Cailin also joined the Little Ladybirds family in 2023 and has been studying towards her Level 3 qualification since.

She found out last month that she has passed her apprenticeship and is now Early Years Educator, working in the Tiny Miracles baby room.

Caitlin, 22, from Eaglescliffe said: “I am so proud to have passed my apprenticeship. I love working here and throughout my time with the nursery everyone has been so supportive. It’s a relief now that my Level 3 training is done and I am now fully qualified.”

Little Ladybirds Day Nursery is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and also holds a perfect 10 out 10 score on the Day Nurseries website. It also ranks highly in the annual Top 20 Nurseries in the North East table on the same platform.

Claire Harrison-Jones, Nursery Manager, said: “We are thrilled for Jess and Caitlin. They have worked so hard since joining the team and are fully deserving of their achievements. They’re both so popular with the staff, children and parents and carers alike, so I know I’m not alone in congratulating them. They should be so proud of everything they’ve achieved.”
