Dozens of businesses attended our most recent networking event, held at the picturesque Seaham Hall Hotel.
The event also saw Glenn Martin from Durham County Council give a presentation about the County Durham Economic Strategy, asking people to get involved in the ‘Our Big Econ-versation’, where individuals can have their say on issues which affect them, from employment, tourism, and education to transport, culture and the environment.
Chairman of the East Durham Business Network, Paul Wellstead, gave an introduction, while Leanne Fawcett, editor of East Durham Business magazine, updated the audience on the next publication and how businesses can get involved. Amanda Hardy, Spa Manager at Seaham Hall, also said a few words about how the facility is continuing to bounce back after the Covid pandemic.
Businesses and organisations in attendance included CoreHaus, East Durham College, Katmex, Alexander Technologies, DurhamWorks, NBSL, Think 11, F1 Retail Estates, Digital Drive County Durham and many more.
Paul Wellstead said: “I was absolutely delighted to see so many familiar and new faces in the room, and people speaking up about the things they the council should be focussing on in the County Durham Economic Strategy. That was what the event was all about.”
