A convenience store in Murton has undergone a significant refurbishment.

G&E Murgatroyd, James Hall & Co.’s company owned stores division, is delighted to announce the completion of the project to drastically improve the shop.

The store has been refurbished to provide local residents with the very best in modern convenience shopping including a delicious Clayton Park deli and an independent butchery counter, Graham Eyes High Class Butchers.

Graham Eyes is an award winning, family business which began trading with James Hall & Co. in 2016. Offering high quality meat at fantastic prices, customers can enjoy 3 for £10 on packaged meats and 2 for £6 on Graham Eyes’ delicious ready meals.

The Clayton Park Deli counter is packed full of mouth-watering fresh products from James Hall & Co.’s company owned bakery, Clayton Park Bakery. Boasting cream cakes, a selection of sandwiches and fillings and delicious hot food, the deli offers a range of fantastic prices and lunchtime offers.

Julie McAulay, Company Owned Stores Director at James Hall & Co. said: “We are thrilled to be able to invest in the future of SPAR Murton and bring residents the latest innovations in store design and product development. Customer feedback from other SPAR stores with a Graham Eyes butchery counter has been fantastic, delighted at being able to access high quality meat from a traditional butcher in-store, whilst also being able to pick up other everyday essentials. Alongside a variety of mouth-watering deli products, customers can also enjoy our own brand of coffee, Cheeky Coffee, and we are offering customers a free morning cup until 9am, up to the end of January.”

SPAR Murton also offers a Tango Ice Blast machine, alongside a vaping offer and an extended shop floor. The 3,000 sq ft SPAR store offers a varied range of every day essentials and award winning wines, perfect for evening teas and weekend treats.

SPAR Murton’s newly refurbished store was officially launched on Thursday 5th December with local children enjoying a visit from Santa Claus and staff’s finest Christmas jumpers.
