A recently relaunched housing association has launched a new app designed to make life simpler for tenants.
believe housing has unveiled a free new app that will make requesting repairs, paying rent and getting in touch much easier for residents.
The app, which is available for both Android and iOS smartphones, can be downloaded now from the App Store and Google Play. It will allow all primary and joint tenants of believe housing homes to access key information about their account at their fingertips.
Up to 18,000 families currently living in believe housing properties, which stretch from the Durham coast to the North Pennines, will benefit from the app. Formerly known as County Durham Housing Group, believe housing is one of the largest housing associations in the north east.
believe housing Director of Technology and Digital Solutions, Colin Tempest, said: “Being able to contact us easily is a major priority for our customers. Our new app will allow people to do just that. Its design means it’s really straightforward to use, and of course it’s free.
“We know that so many of our tenants now have access to a smartphone. The chance to pay your rent or check your balance 24 hours a day will make a huge difference to anyone with a busy home life.
“This is one of the first changes we’ve been able to make to our services for tenants since we became believe housing, but it’s just a sign of things to come as we look to improve our offer to customers and expand what we do.”
Tenants can download and log in to the app using their tenancy number along with a few simple personal details.
