Station Town is the destination for believe housing’s first open day for affordable housing, which could see attendees pick up the keys to their new home in one day.
believe housing, formerly County Durham Housing Group, is opening the doors to a property in Newholme Estate, Station Town, on Wednesday, 24 April to highlight the variety of affordable homes available immediately in the area.
A three-bedroom house will be open for viewing between 11am and 5pm, and is intended to give home hunters the chance to discuss available properties face-to-face with officers from believe housing and potentially get the keys to a new property within hours.
Head of Housing Operations at believe housing, Simon Bartlett, said: “Our open days have helped people throughout the county pick up the keys to their new home virtually straightaway. We’re hoping to repeat that success this time around.”
The open day will also provide information on homes in Wingate. Station Town and neighbouring Wingate have easy access to schools, shops and regular bus links to Durham, Peterlee and Seaham.
