A Peterlee contact centre has emerged triumphant from the region’s leading industry awards.
Market leading insurance services business Auxillis claimed the title of North East Contact Centre of the Year 2018 (Over 250 seats) at the North East Contact Centre Awards.
Beating off stiff competition from major local contact centres including Sky and NHS Services, the team walked away with the top prize of the evening.
Auxillis triumphed at the glittering event held at the Ramside Hall Hotel on Friday 8th February, which was all the more satisfying as they had been named runners up for the past three years.
Praised for their staff engagement, positive, supportive and high achieving working environment, the judges also commended Auxillis on their continued growth, productivity improvements and use of new technology – whilst also achieving market leading quality and service levels.
A jubilant team from the Auxillis Contact Centre were amongst the many businesses attending the Gala evening with Operations Manager Neil Ackinclose taking to the stage to collect the award. Collecting the accolade, Neil commented: “Picking up the award is a well-deserved achievement for the Auxillis team. Having been Runners Up, there were some nerves on the night, but we really did feel it was our year. Thanks to everyone for their efforts and focus on providing an exceptional work place and fantastic business results. It’s really special to see everyone’s hard work recognised”. Neil added, “This recognition will help us continue to attract the local talented and skilled people we need to continue to grow”.
The UK Contact Centre industry is estimated to be worth £2.4billion, with the North East ranked number one in the UK, and home to 145 major contact centres – a clear indication of the importance and value of the sector to the regional economy.
