A North East training and apprenticeships specialist has announced “glowing” reports from watchdogs.
Two Profound Group companies, both based on Peterlee Business Park, were inspected by Matrix, Ofsted and the Skills Funding Agency.
Northern Care Training (NCT) and sister company Profound Services were visited by The Matrix Standard, who carried out a three-day assessment inspecting leadership and management, resources, service delivery and continuous quality improvement processes. Both companies received excellent feedback and were awarded the nationally recognised quality standard for another three years.
Then, giving just 48 hours notice, five Ofsted inspectors visited Profound’s main sites and certified the provider ‘Good’ in all areas, noting that the majority of learners were making good or excellent progress in their learning.
In addition, NCT was inspected by the government’s Skills Funding Agency (SFA). The company achieved a 0.8% document error rate following the three day audit. The SFA Auditor praised NCT for working to such high standards.
Steven Ward, chairman of Profound Group, said: “Profound has been trading now for ten years and has never experienced such a challenging but rewarding month as April 2016. To be notified of one inspection in such a short space of time is inimitable, but to take the Group through three, and achieve what we have done, is a remarkable and outstanding accomplishment, and unparalleled.
“This latest achievement is testament to Profound Group’s highly skilled and dedicated staff and an excellent outcome for us as it demonstrates our commitment to quality provision and our aspirations to drive up education standards, locally and nationally.”
