Bill helps take the strain from East Durham businesses

A Peterlee-based charity boss has launched a new business that aims to take the strain away from other local businesses.

UK.Solutions, the commercial arm of The Employability Trust, will provide on-demand resourcing including manufacturing, warehousing and fulfillment support to companies in a range of sectors.

The firm is being headed-up by businessman Bill Marley, who founded youth unemployment charity The Employability Trust five years ago. Both organisations are based at Palmer road on Peterlee Business Park.

UK.Solutions will give young people, who come through the trust’s doors, the opportunity to gain hands on experience on live projects, which are provide short term assistance to sub-contracted by companies who need additional support to meet client requirements. Recent renovations have seen an upgrade to the security and warehousing facilities in addition to a large IT Suite which is available to hire.

Bill Marley said: “UK.Solutions really formalises the services we’ve been providing to businesses for some time, and puts us in a stronger position to go out and win contracts with industry employers. It’s a big step for us and will take the organisation to the next level.”

The firm is already supporting East Durham businesses including Seaward Electronic.
